The forest had tones of amber and moss, and the shadows were a dusky, whispery purple much like the colour of her eyes.

Where the depth of those shadows dropped away into blackness, she could see it. It. The looming darkness of the abyss. A darkness that opened up and threatened to swallow her, at times - a darkness that would slither close to her feet and plant little kisses against the hem of her dress.

A feeling she had grown accustomed to - living there, on the brink of falling into the endless dark.

It was a feeling she had grown to love.

Picture very much inspired by quite a few of the old masters. I don't know why and how, but that was what I was thinking of when I worked on the image.

this is beautiful! i'd have to say it's one of my favourite's of yours.
her pose and facial expression, the background, and the colours are all fantastic. her dress is incredible.
my favourite part is the way the tree branches in the back look almost like spiderwebs.
beautiful.

Wow, is that a real person. This is amazing, I'm takin this to my favs. I love this image, great colours, makes it look so alive, so surreally real, yet it has that touch of a photo image, I'm kinda confused and amazed at the same time. This is truly amazing.

a beautiful peice with a beautiful description. her pose is wonder as twistedfire has said... but most striking is the hem on her dress.

i am in love with the way you made her skirt. The way her hair falls on her face and her shoulders..amazing! you make your pictures so life-like. makes me think they'd move. you're talented...like waaaay talented. i am in love with this, as i have with your other works. i shall stare at it for awhile...ohyah.
